Smallest high performance 20 Watt DC/DC Converter

The TRACOPOWER THN-20(WI) series is the latest generation of high performance dc/dc converter modules with highest power density. The product achieves 20W while it comes in a metal case with dimensions of only 1.0” x 1.0” x 0.4”.

The converters are available with 2:1 (THN-20 series) or 4:1 (THN-20WI series) input voltage ranges. Despite of their compact size there is no compromises by performance. Input filter to meet EN 55022 Class A without external components, trim and remote On/Off function and tightly regulated output voltage even under no load conditions distinguish this series.

The converters are suitable for temperatures of –40°C to 75°C with natural convection cooling. With an optional heat sink the ambient temperature allowance can be extended to 85°C. The high efficiency of up to 90% combined with the very low input current at no load or remote Off are excellent benefits for battery-operated systems. Typical applications are in the field of mobile equipment, instrumentation, distributed power architectures in communication and industrial electronics and wherever space on the PCB is critical.
